Windows 365 Announced, Accessing the OS From Many Devices

As all the work is happening virtually, this creates a need in changing our technology. Hybrid work is the most basic necessity nowadays but securing our resources is also a difficult challenge. Hence, Microsoft Corp. has taken the step towards Windows 365 on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

Windows 365 promotes the cloud service which provides the access to the operating system from anywhere i.e. phones, desktops, laptops. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, said, “With Windows 365, we’re creating a new category: the Cloud PC. Just like applications were brought to the cloud with SaaS, we are now bringing the operating system to the cloud, providing organizations with greater flexibility and a secure way to empower their workforce to be more productive and connected, regardless of location.”

Users’ wait would be over on August 2, 2021, as Windows 365 is going to be available for all. The Cloud PC will be categorized into 2 configurations, Windows 365 Business, and Windows 365 Enterprise. The prices of these are not announced yet.

Features

Not to change your way of dealing with the Windows PC, Microsoft has considered it and developed Windows 365 with the same look and feel. Users can access Windows 10 or Windows 11, tools, apps, and data using an app or a web browser of the devices. The versatile nature of the Cloud PC applies to processing power and storage, because of this it will not create any performance difference between the top-end device to the most basic one.

The Cloud PC allows the user to continue the work they have done using different devices. With the help of Windows 365, organizations can easily deploy, acquire, manage, and can set up Cloud PCs with just a few clicks. The innovation of Microsoft is still under Azure Virtual Desktop for customization and more flexibility.

The security of Windows 365 is based on the principle of Zero Trust. The data of the users are secured on the cloud instead of the devices you will use to access. Microsoft claims that the disks running Windows 365 Cloud PCs are encrypted, the stored data and the network to and from the PCs are also encrypted.
