Apple Inc. will release the new Apple Watch series along with the upcoming iPhone flagship, iPhone 12. The company has been launching the next-generation hand gadgets since 2015, and this year would certainly be no expectation. The amazing thing is — this year would bring even more amazing improvements.
Bloomberg and various other leaks have repeatedly hinted a lot of stuff about the upcoming iWatch series. As per Bloomberg, the new Apple Watch Series 6 will feature sleep tracking. Over the years, the iWatch has introduced various innovative upgrade, including ECG tracking, cellular service, always-on display, and a built-in compass.
The new report suggests that the company is planning to leap forward in the innovation in designing iWatch with the planned blood oxygen monitoring and sleep tracking. Apple Watch competitors Fitbit and Samsung have already installed sleep tracking on their hand gadgets. So, Apple wouldn’t probably miss out on the competition with this feature.
The recent reports show the Apple hold strong smartwatch market in 2019, accounting 47.9% of the total market share. The iWatch would be certainly sore high with its new planned features proposed for the Series 6. Even though the release date of iPhone 12 has been tipped to October, several leakers — including Jon Prosser — hinted that the new Apple Watch Series 6 will debut in September 2020.
The Apple Watch would also have a wireless network system. This means that the company is planning to make the iWatch more independent and autonomous from the iPhones. The wireless network inclusion was discovered in one of the patents placed by Apple. The Apple Watch would be upgraded to such an extent that it could be useful during health emergencies.
Several leaks claimed that the Apple Watch Series 6 two models — GPS Only and GPS + Cellular – will debut during the launch window. The ‘GPS + Cellular’ will start at $499 while the lower version, the ‘GPS Only’ will have $399 starting price. There wouldn’t be a huge change in the appearance of the watch but performance-wise it would be better than previous iWatch(s).
