President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 again on Saturday morning. This news came from a letter from presidential physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor. However, Biden is not facing any symptoms and is feeling quite well.
In accordance with Centres for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, Biden will reenter isolation for at least five full days. The agency says most rebound cases remain mild. The doctor does not report any severe disease during that period.

“I’m feeling fine, everything’s good,” Biden said in a video posted Saturday to his Twitter account that showed him without a face mask on a balcony. He said he’ll work from home “for the next couple of days.”
O’Connor said the president is feeling better. So, “there is no reason to resume treatment at this time, but we will obviously continue close observation.”
Biden took Paxlovid, a five-day treatment course that has been shown to sharply reduce symptoms, after first testing positive on July 21. He concluded the drug therapy Monday evening and tested negative each of the four days after that.
US Centres advise that those who take Paxlovid treatment must isolate themselves for five days
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that people who test positive again after receiving Pfizer Inc.’s Paxlovid treatment isolate for at least five days.
Both the Food and Drug Administration and Pfizer point out that 1% to 2% of people in Pfizer’s original study on Paxlovid saw their virus levels rebound after 10 days. The rate was about the same among people taking the drug or dummy pills. So it is unclear at this point that this is related to drug treatment,” according to the FDA.
Biden also cancels an afternoon trip to Capitol Hill to meet families advocating for legislation to bring expanded benefits to veterans exposed to toxic burn pits. He said, he is connected with families via Video Call.
