About BNHA
My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. The series has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014. Its first season aired in Japan from April to June 2016. The series won the 2019 Harvey Award for Best Manga. As of April 2021, the manga had over 50 million copies in circulation worldwide.
The series follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers, who dreams of becoming a superhero. He idolizes All Might, Japan’s greatest hero, who chooses Midoriya as his successor and shares his powers with him after recognizing his capabilities. He has to defeat Tomura Shigaraki who has been sent to destroy the current society and its heroes.
