About Kaguya Sama
The story sets in Shuchiin Academy, Japan. It follows the war of love between two genius students Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane. The one who confesses first will lose. They are in love but too proud to confess. Kaguya is the Student Council Vice President and daughter of a wealthy conglomerate family. Miyuki is the best student and Student Council President.
Both are perfectionists and narcissists. They seem to be a perfect match. They develop clever schemes to make each other confess. For them love is a war that involves the heart and brain. Just like most school life love stories, their story starts with a rumor of dating.
Readers have found the series very innovative for its portrayal of characters. Every character has two different sides. Apparently, Kaguya and Miyuki’s personalities might seem to be similar but deep inside they are different. Kaguya has a darker side to her personality. She develops a “bad girl” persona and Miyuki develops a “good boy” persona. He doesn’t want others to hate her for her dark side so he tries to keep her emotions balanced.
Kaguya Sama Chapter 242 Release Date
It is expected to release on October 21, 2021, in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Viz Media will publish the official English translation of manga soon after the Japanese release.
