It is based on characters created by Colin Dexter. Endeavor series is a prequel to the “Inspector Morse” series. Shaun Evans stars as Endeavour Morse.

About Endeavour

The story of Endeavour takes place in Oxford. Endeavour Morse leaves Lonsdale College of Oxford University in his third year of college without taking a degree. He spends a brief time within the Royal Corps of Signals as a cipher clerk then joins the Marshall-Newtown Police. Morse transfers to London City Police in 1965. He begins his career as a detective constable. Morse works alongside his senior partner DI Fred. Later he becomes a detective sergeant.

The series received more than 6.5 million viewers. Due to the success of the series, the eighth season of the Endeavour series had been commissioned by ITV. The eighth season of the Endeavour series takes place in 1971, consisting of three episodes.

When things get more complicated for Fred and Win, Endeavour unravels a perplexing plot beyond his imagination.
