About Supergirl
Supergirl Kara Zor-El is the cousin of Superman and one of the last surviving Kryptonians. When Krypton was about to explode, her parents sent her in a spacecraft to earth after her cousin. She was meant to protect her infant cousin Kal-El, but her spacecraft was knocked off and forced into the Phantom Zone. After decades when she finally landed on earth, her cousin Kal-El had grown up and become Superman. The series begins when 24-year-old Kara is learning to embrace her superhuman powers.
When she finally reveals her superpowers, she becomes the protector of National City. As the show goes on many new characters will be introduced. Supergirl protects humans from sinister aliens, works alongside Alex at the Department of Extranormal Operations investigating extraterrestrials who are secretly living among humans. In the sixth season of Supergirl Kara is imprisoned in the Phanton zone, where she meets her father. After being rescued they return to Earth. Kra suffers repeated flashbacks from her traumatic experience.
