Marcella Samora is the mother of the late international popstar Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, who was known by the name ‘Selena’. She is Mexican and of Cherokee descent. She spent a part of her life in Washington that is when she met with Abraham Quintanilla Jr., her husband. He was stationed there for his service in the US military.
