The COVID – 19 pandemics has brought very hard times to humans worldwide. Almost no country has remained unaffected by the pandemic. The United State of America is no doubt the country most affected by the pandemic. With the highest caseload and death toll, the US has endured a lot. But now to ease the lives of people government is planning some relief.
The Financial Help
In a desperate attempt to shape up its economy the U.S. government is planning to give out a fourth stimulus check for taxpayers. It is intended to boost consumption and drive revenue at retailers and manufacturers. Which in turn would help in spurring the economy.
Biden’s American Rescue Plan that passed in March is the first spending package in 2021, with $1,400 checks, $300 extra in weekly unemployment benefits,
and an expanded child tax credit lined up. It included direct stimulus payments of $1,400 to people making $75,000 or less per year.
The Plan
Most stimulus checks from the third round of payments have been sent out. Congress is working with president Biden for a fresh round of relief. They are seeking more ways to get money to eligible Americans between now and 2022. A fourth stimulus check is one way Congress has considered sending money. As per reports, a potential fourth payment could take the form of recurring payments.
The request to include recurring payments was made by Bernie Sanders and a group of Progressive Democrats.
Way Ahead
Meanwhile, the Biden administration is working on a sequel, a package the president refers to as the Build Back Better plan. That proposal aims to invest in the nation’s energy grid, transportation, broadband, and water systems.
It is necessary for the government to provide relief to its citizens. The relief would go to help rebuild the US economy, which was worst hit by the pandemic. There is hope that the new plan would work to strengthen the economic condition of citizens of the country. While many remain skeptical of the administration’s plan. Only time will tell the effect this 4th Stimulus Check will bring to the American economy.
