Pixar’s Toy Story franchise is undoubtedly one of the most successful endeavors for Disney. The previously released Toy Story 4 has had huge success at the box office, grossing USD 1.073 billion, worldwide. When Could Toy Story 5 Release?
Nothing as yet is confirmed in relation to the release date. It is very obvious, that this movie cannot be made quickly which is very much evident from the 11 years time difference between Toy Story 2 and 3, and the 9-year gap between the release of Toy Story 3 and 4.
It is a quite lengthy process that involves detailing the animation, scriptwriting, cast and crew appointments, audio recording, etc.
Additionally, Pixar also has a lot of other projects in hand which are set to be released on 2023. So, the absolute earliest we can expect to see Toy Story 5 is by the end of this decade.
To an interview, long time back, Tim Allen said: “Once you’ve gotten to four, you’re given that trilogy [point], so I don’t see any purpose why they wouldn’t do it, certainly. If you question me, I’d say do five,”.
Even Tom Hanks has shared his thoughts, saying: “Well, no-one is planning on it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if somewhere two-and-a-half years from now someone has this kernel of an idea that could become it,”.
There is also a slight hint from actress Annie Potts, who said many fans would be eager to know what the toys do now.
