Apple is already operating on its upcoming wearable device. We muster the rumours of what to expect from the Apple Watch Series 7 and explain when it’s likely to appear.
Apple Watch Series 7 – Release Date?
September is decided with a prominent Watch symbol on the calendar at Apple HQ, with the last four models all launching in that month. A glance at the inventory below presented when they all found:
- Apple Watch Series 3 – 22 September 2017
- Apple Watch Series 4 – 21 September 2018
- Apple Watch Series 5 – 20 September 2019
- Apple Watch Series 6 – 18 September 2020
With keeping this in mind, you should expect the Series 7 to arrive in mid-September 2021.
Apple Watch Series 7 estimated price?
Rating on the Apple Watch series is reasonably fixed, with the earlier models highlighting the following price tags:
- Apple Watch Series 4 – £399/$399
- Apple Watch Series 5 – £399/$39
- Apple Watch Series 6 – £379/$399
We can’t see any specific reason why this would change exorbitantly, so the Apple Watch Series 7 will most likely launch in at £399/$399.
Apple Watch Series 7 – New Features
With the Series 7 still way off in the distance, there’s little in the path of concrete news about which features Apple will launch with the new model. That being said, the buzz mill has already thrown up some clues about what we might see next September.
Apple’s New design
The Series 6 didn’t bring the predicted redesign of the Apple Watch that many had wished for, but 9to5 Mac has informed that industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo declared a “specific factor design change would come with new Apple Watches in 2021 at the earliest”. What this will look like remains a secret, but with Kuo’s record of getting predictions correct, we could find out soon.
Apple Watch Series 7 – Touch ID
Various rumours have surfaced indicating that Apple will consist Touch ID in the Series 7. This could be either below the display itself, like with the gossip about the iPhone 13, or, much like the power button in the iPad Air (2020).
Apple Watch Series 7 – Display Upgrade
There’s been a buzz for quite a time now about Apple changing the OLED displays on the Watch with either Micro-LED or Mini-LED panels. The priority of the newer shows is that they can be thinner and initiates better energy-efficiency, which tends to upgraded battery life.
MacRumors has stated that 2021 could be the year where Apple finally works with Taiwanese display dealers to deliver the new panels on the Watch. So, if this is right, it would fit with the redesign buzz and certainly be a huge step forward for the Series 7.
Much of this could replace as we get closer to the launch date of the Apple Watch Series 7.
Apple Watch Series 7 -Health features
Health and fitness are the twin spikes of Apple’s plan for the Apple Watch, and the company has been adding related attributes with each generation.
The Apple Watch Series 6 continued this ritual with the incorporation of blood oxygen monitoring. Still, for one reason (most likely the avoidance of delay) this feature was never approved by the FDA: this was allowed because Apple categorized it as a wellness function rather than a medical quality.
By the time the Series 7 launches, we wish Apple will get FDA approval or changed its plan in some other way that means we can trust the accuracy of blood oxygen calculation.
