Game developers, Ubisoft announced a remake back in September 2020. Initially, the plan was to launch the game in January. Unfortunately, this is now pushed to March 18, 2021. The remake is compatible for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Recently, with the ongoing pandemic, Ubisoft has pushed dates of other projects attributing it to the crisis. In the past week, Ubisoft cancelled “Codename Nightmare”, also announced in a September live stream.

In September, producer Anna Koul reveals the remake will bring all the series’ characters. They’ve added an extra “flavour” and “enhancement” to the remake. While its exciting to revisit the game once again, publishers need more time. Ubisoft shares a post on Twitter saying, “We believe this is the right decision to ensure we deliver a game you like.”

When fans saw Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time remake in Ubisoft’s forward event, they were not happy. Fans reportedly felt disappointed in the game’s visuals. It looked “outdated” and out of place especially in 2020. Fans express their disappointment with the new graphics that convinced Ubisoft to extend the dates and try harder.

Game developers now aim to polish the game further to satisfy fans and to bring nostalgia back in a better presentation. Hopefully, the extended time will be sufficient to create a better remake.
