Top 5 smartphones under 40,000 rupees in India

The 40,000 rupees segment is known as the ‘budget flagship’ segment in India. There are tons of mobiles in this price bracket and all are very good devices. In this article, I have tried to pick out the 5 best smartphones under 40,000.

Oneplus Nord

  • Display:44-inch, Full HD+
  • Processor: Snapdragon 765G
  • RAM:6/8/12GB
  • Storage:64/128/256GB
  • Cameras:48, 8, 5, and 2MP
  • Front cameras:32 and 8MP
  • Battery:4,115mAh
  • Software: Android 10

This is the only phone in this list that doesn’t have a flagship processor. But, to its credit, SD765G is an extremely capable processor. It also has 5G support.

Nord marked the return of OnePlus in the “Flagship Killer” segment. It has all the great features that flagships have. But unlike them, it offers those features for a very little price.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lite

  • Display:7-inch, Full HD+
  • Processor: Exynos 9810
  • RAM:6/8GB
  • Storage:128GB
  • Cameras:12, 12, and 12MP
  • Front camera:32MP
  • Battery:4,500mAh
  • Software: Android 10

Samsung’s Note devices are always very expensive. They offer great features but, unfortunately, come at such a high price, that not everyone can afford it. But, Note 10 Lite isn’t like them. This great phone from Samsung comes at a very low price. And you don’t have to sacrifice much for it.

The processor is less powerful, the RAM isn’t high and the camera is slightly poor. But these compromises can easily be ignored when you consider the price of this phone.

Realme X3 SuperZoom

  • Display:6-inch, Full HD+
  • Processor: Snapdragon 855+
  • RAM:8/12GB
  • Storage:128/256GB
  • Cameras:64, 8, 8, and 2MP
  • Front camera:32 and 8MP
  • Battery:4,200mAh
  • Software: Android 10

Realme basically has a mobile on every 1000-2000 rupees gap in India. They have expanded their portfolio so aggressively that it is hard to create a list without having one or two of their smartphones.

Realme X3 Superzoom is another great smartphone from Realme. As the name suggests this mobile focuses more on the camera segment, and it does shine there. The processor is of last-gen, but it is still the most powerful processor of 2019.

OnePlus 7T

  • Display:55-inch, Full HD+
  • Processor:Snapdragon 855+
  • RAM:8GB
  • Storage:128/256GB
  • Cameras:48, 12, and 16MP
  • Front camera:16MP
  • Battery:3,800mAh
  • Software:Android 10

The OnePlus 7T was the best OnePlus phone last year. On paper, the 7T pro might have looked better. But from the Value for Money, perspective the Oneplus 7T was a great offering. And it continues to be a great model.

The only problem that I can think of is that the chip is of previous-gen, but as I mentioned before, that isn’t really a big problem. The Nord is a good option in this price segment, but if you have more money the 7T is a far better pick.

Realme X50 Pro

  • Display:44-inch, Full HD+
  • Processor: Snapdragon 865
  • RAM:6/8/12GB
  • Storage:128/256GB
  • Cameras:64, 12, 8, and 2MP
  • Front cameras:32 and 8MP
  • Battery:4,200mAh
  • Software: Android 10

So, the best mobile (according to me) under 50,000 rupees is Realme X50 Pro. Last year Realme X2 Pro was one of the best phones ever. It was awarded as the best smartphone of 2019 by many tech reviewers. And the successor to X2 pro is still the best in the bunch.

Realme X50 Pro has almost everything you need from a smartphone and what makes it an even better option is it’s very aggressive pricing. So, According to me, you should give this mobile utmost priority, when you are looking to buy a device under 40,000 rupees.

So, that was the list guys. Hope you liked it.
