Roku’s Streambar comes with 4K HDR streaming, available at $130

Roku is back with a bang. After a year, when the company has released the Smart Soundbar Roku has now introduced the new Streambar.

The latest Streambar joins a compact soundbar with a 4K/ HDR streaming device. Any app or service you can think of. Roku Streambar is compatible with it. This experience is enhanced by four full range speaker drivers that fill up your room with amazing stereo audio.

The new soundbar was unveiled recently together with the improved Roku Ultra Streaming Box, which currently supports Dolby Vision too.

Connectivity and Audio aspects

Still, all the other aspects of the Streambar are almost the same when compared with the Smart Soundbar. You can connect to your TV through optical audio or HDMI ARC. Plus, it possesses a Bluetooth receiver and if you want to stream music, it supports Spotify Connect too.

It also has a USB port inculcated on its back, if you want to plug in anything like a USB stick or any external hard drive to play content locally. This can also be utilized for Ethernet along with an adapter. By chance if you are in the US, you can pair the Streambar with Roku’s wireless speakers and subwoofer like the Smart Soundbar. This will give you a surround sound arrangement.

Similar to the Smart Soundbar, the Streambar has software audio features for many different purposes. Some instances are it makes speech simpler to hear. The other one levels the volume across the content if you want to tone down the volume of those loud and annoying commercials.

Can easily placed anywhere due to small size

The main and important difference between the Streambar and its predecessor the Smart Soundbar is the size. The original soundbar is around 32 inches long. However, the Streambar is almost half of it. That is, it is around 14 inches long. The benefit with the small size is that we can easily fit it anywhere like smaller living rooms and bedrooms and with the TVs.

In addition to all these, the Streambar comes with a night mode. In this way, you can hear the TV without disturbing the others in the house. And all these remarkable features can be controlled and manipulated via the Roku voice remote.

Comes along with 4K HDR streaming

Moreover, the Streambar also supports HDR 4K content through the HDR10 and HLG standards. PCM and Dolby Audio are the supported audio formats. Although the support for Dolby Vision and Atmos are not available for this right now, but they are available for the new Roku Ultra.

The device is also compatible with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant too. Plus, it will be one of those devices which will be having AirPlay2 and HomeKit support.

The retail price

The Streambar is available to pre-order now in the US, UK, Canada, and Mexico. It is currently tagged at around $129/$130 and the shipping will start in Mid-October.
