The lovebirds Emma Stone and Dave McCary apparently got married discreetly during the lockdown.
According to a source on Page Six, the two are “definitely” married.
Apparently, they were already planning on getting married in March. But unfortunately, they had to put the preparations on hold due to the global coronavirus pandemic. It is most likely that they had a small and intimate wedding during the lockdown.
How did these speculations arise?
A few pictures of Emma, 31 and the SNL director Dave McCary, 35 also came up during this week. The couple were sporting matching gold bands.
Last December, the Easy A actress Emma Stone announced her engagement to the Saturday Night Live director Dave McCary. She shared a post of both of them on Instagram which threw everyone off slightly. It is kind of obvious that the couple is super low key.
The La La Land actress dropped hints discreetly
Emma dropped the first hint of her marriage when she Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine YouTube channel where she joined the host Reese to talk about anxiety during quarantine.
If you observe you can see that she was not wearing a ring. Instead she was wearing a simple and elegant gold wedding band.
In addition to that, Dr. Harold Koplewicz, an expert who also joined Emma and Reese told Emma this: “If you marry an anxious man, you’re going to have to know me the rest of my life.”
And Emma replied to that statement saying, “Thankfully I didn’t do that.”
This was enough to convince everyone that she has successfully tied the knot secretly. They all took to Twitter to express themselves about this matter.
Furthermore, Emma took to Elle about her thoughts on getting married. She said that her perspective regarding kids changed as she grew older. She added that as a teenager she never wanted to get married and have any kids.
This is what she said:
“I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I am never getting married, I’m never having kids.
And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids.”
The couple is yet to comment on the rumors’ and speculations. However, it is evident that they are now married as they are now displaying matching gold rings.
