Nvidia’s GTX 1650 has a new rival in the form of AMD’s Radeon RX 5300

AMD’s Radeon RX 5300 is going to compete with Nvidia GTX 1650 in the entry-level GPU segment.

AMD is looking to “set a new standard for 1080p gaming” with RX 5300. It is based on AMD’s first-generation RDNA architecture.

Best for 1080p Gaming?

RX 5300 has many similar features with 5500 XT. It has the same 1,408 stream processors count and 22 complete units. However, the space it differs in is with the 3GB lesser GDDR6 memory which is clocked at 14Gbps and uses a 96-bit memory bus. All this results in a maximum bandwidth of 168 Gbps which is about 25% less than RX 5500 XT. The card has a maximum boost frequency of 1.645MHZ.

AMD claims Radeon RX 5300 is going to outperform Nvidia’s GTX 1650 in games like Battlefield 5, COD, and PubG. According to AMD RX 5300 is going to deliver around 30-40% better graphics performance than its Nvidia counterpart.

RX 5300 offers 3x DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.0 port along with support for PCIe 4.0.

AMD is yet to tell the price and the availability of this GPU.
