Recently a product listing for a new TicWatch smartwatch was spotted on Amazon UK. The watch’s name is TicWatch Pro 3 and it was listed at 299 pounds. The estimated release date was October 1.
However, after the page was spotted, Mobvoi changed the price to 399 pounds, but the release date remains the same.
What we know
The leaks confirmed that the watch would be using the latest Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip. If it’s true this would make Ticwatch Pro 3, the first smartwatch to come with that chipset. It was listed as weighing 300 grams which makes it almost 5-6 times as heavy as normal smartwatches(so, don’t know if that’s true). However, the dimensions which were listed as 45.1 x 45.1 x 12.6 mm, does seem to be true.
Snapdragon Wear 4100
Qualcomm claims the new 4100 line of processors will deliver more than 85% faster performance than its predecessors. The new 4100 line is built on the 12nm process. While the older ones were built on 28nm, so this should give a better battery life. Qualcomm has even upgraded the GPU and provided faster memory. So, in theory, the new 4100 line of processors are supposed to be significantly better than its predecessors. This is quite a welcome change as the previous two Wear OS processors weren’t very good.
So, these are all the leaks that we have got today. Mobvoi should be making an announcement pretty soon as the listing is for October 1.
