Tina Turner and her husband, Erwin Bach were expanding their real estate property portfolio less than a couple of years before the ”Rock N’ Roll Queen” passed away.
Turner and Bach snatched up a jaw-dropping five-acre home in Switzerland, worth an estimated US$116 million. The legendary singer married German-born Erwin Bach and was living in Switzerland for several years. So, after the wedding, as she became a citizen, she was permitted to own land.
Overlooking Lake Zurich, the property includes 10 structures. It is a beautiful home with a swimming pool and boat dock. Other than that, the property has its own pond and stream.
Bach once stated that the purchase made sense, given their nationality. Also, he added that they ”feel very comfortable in Switzerland. Due to the pandemic and its consequences we, like many other Swiss- unfortunately, are refraining from travel.”
The singing star passed away in her Switzerland home, an estate called Chateau Algonquin in Zurich, which she rented for years with her German husband Erwin Bach. Turner became quite fond of the European country, with the pair eventually deciding to splurge on a sprawling estate in Staefa, which overlooks Lake Zurich, in September 2021.
Turner and Bach – who tied the knot back in 2013 – paid US$116m for the 10-building mansion on the lake and used the estate as a “weekend retreat”.
The couple’s rental home, ”Chateau Algonquin”, where Turner passed away, is in Kusnacht, southeast of Zurich. People are sending tributes in the form of flowers at the gated area of the Kusnacht home.
