A comedy film directed by Ruben Östlund, debuting in the English language. The movie stars Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean, Dolly de Leon, Zlatko Burić, Henrik Dorsin, Vicki Berlin, and Woody Harrelson.
Charlbi Dean Kriek was seen for the last time in Triangle of Sadness before her death in August last year. The movie is about a celebrity couple on a cruise with equally wealthy friends.
Storyline
Carl and Yaya are a model couple. They are seen bickering about gender roles and money. The couple is invited on a luxury cruise in exchange for promoting the same.
The guest list at the cruise is all filthy rich. Russian oligarch Dimitry and his wife Vera, weapons manufacturing king, Clementine and Winston, Therese can only speak a single sentence in German because of a stroke, and Jarmo, who is a lonely millionaire tech.
Among the staff, Paula is the head of staff and Thomas is the captain of the yacht.
Suddenly the yacht passes through a storm and the guests become seasick and start to panic. Meanwhile, Thomas and Dimitry fight over the intercom about socialism and capitalism. Immediately after, the yacht tosses as the storm hit it and there’s no power.
The next morning they face a pirate attack. Sadly, Clementine and Winston die because of their own grenades.
The survivors, Carl, Yaya, Dimitry, Therese, Paula, Jarmo, Abigail (cleaner of the yacht) and Nelson (claiming himself as a mechanic, might also be a pirate) escape to an island. Abigail takes the lead because she’s the only one to know survival skills. Abigail and Carl get close which bothers Yaya.

Synopsis
The Triangle of Sadness is a movie about a couple of rich friends and acquaintances on a yacht together. This has a black comedy. The star cast of the movie is exceptional in their work. From the journey to how they end up on an island, to discovering a way out to a luxury resort to being attacked by pirates, everything is covered in a fantastic manner.
The storyline is a little confusing towards the end though. Why was Carl running around in despair? What about the mystery guy Nelson?
You never know, the writer or director might be hinting towards a sequel soon! Well, that’s our guess, no stances of the same from the makers as yet.
