Born with the name Amanda Jacqueline Renner (Balionis) on June 20, 1985. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but later moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She used to play volleyball for Kutztown University for two years. She later went to Hofstra University, where she graduated in Broadcast Journalism in August 2008.
Amanda’s parents used to play golf; hence she developed an interest in golf and started playing.
Career
Because of her keen interest in journalism, she did internships at CBS Sports, ABC News Now, New York Islanders, and New York Jets. This was her very first step toward establishing her career in journalism.
While at Hofstra University, she became a member of WRHU Radio, The Chronicles Newspaper Team, and the Association of Women in Communications.
She also got a job at Lancaster University as a reporting journalist.
