Former Daredevil boss Steven DeKnight has reacted to the character’s return in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

Charlie Cox’s role as Daredevil has been a big part of marketing for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Several trailers have teased that he will appear in the show at some point.

But the character’s appearance in the Disney+ show raised more questions. Moreover, it is also questioned whether or not the events of Netflix’s Daredevil are canon to the MCU.

What has been said for this latest appearance?

Jessica Gao said the show’s character version “gets to be a little bit different on the show.” Moreover, it suggests this will be a new take on the Marvel hero.

Cox added that Daredevil: Born Again will not have anything to do with the Netflix show. He called it “a new beginning.”

After Daredevil’s latest appearance in the MCU series, the showrunner of the Netflix series seems to be on board with this new version of the character.

Steven’s remarks on the character

Steven DeKnight, who used to be Daredevil’s boss, has said something about the character’s return in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Charlie Cox made his long-awaited MCU TV return as Matt Murdock on 6th October 2022. He was in a case against Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany).

Executive producer DeKnight said on Twitter that it was a “lighter take” on the character than the original Netflix show, but he still liked it.

He wrote on Twitter, “It’s a lighter take, and I’m all for it.” “There are many ways to learn about the character, just like in the comics. I’ll keep watching as long as Charlie is wearing the suit.”

Before, She-Hulk boss Kat Coiro hinted at more “He told Digital Spy that the show shows a “playful” side of Daredevil. Moreover, he added, “there are lots of surprises.” I think we’ll see a more playful side of Daredevil than we’ve ever seen before.”

The character will be back in a new Daredevil series on Disney+ called Born Again. The show was announced at this year’s Comic-Con. The show’s first episode will air in 2024, with 18 of them.

DeKnight had said before that he wasn’t involved in the reboot. Moreover, he called it “bittersweet.” He also said, “But all I want is a great Daredevil show I can watch with the rest of the fans!”

Former showrunner Erik Oleson said: “So happy to hear that Daredevil still exists! The best actors and fans ever!”

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is available to stream on Disney+. Each Thursday, a new episode will come out. Seasons 1-3 of Daredevil are available to watch on Disney+. The first episode of Daredevil: Born Again will air in 2024.
