Overlord Season 4 Release Date and Story Updates for Overlord
Since the third season covered volumes 7 to 9, the fourth season will start off from volume 10. Since Maruyama plans to finish the series with volumes 17 and 14 already out, there is enough content for even a fifth season.
Overlord Season 4 would show frost dragons that appeared last season. We could finally see them getting beaten. Secondly, we could see Albedo expressing her feelings towards her master. There would certainly be more of Ainz and Demiurge, with Ainz becoming more powerful as he continues to deal with his inner conflict.
Madhouse has officially announced Overlord Season 4. Considering Sugawara’s comment, and reference material, Season 4 of Overlord is going to release in July 2022.
About Overlord series
Overlord is a light novel series by Kugame Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. Its chapters are being published since 2010, with fourteen volumes out since 2012. Along with this, a manga series by Satoshi Oshio is also being published since 2014.
The anime series covered light novels. Two animated films have also been out which serve as a compilation of the first season of the anime.
The story is about Momonga, the guild leader of Ainz Ooal Gown guild, who is a virtual character in a virtual reality RPG game YGGDRASIL.

After 12 years, the game is about to be shut down. With 37 of the 41 members leaving, he invites all of them for once. But with an almost dead response, he accepts the truth and stays till the shutdown.
However, Momonga finds that the game has not gone. He and his headquarters, Nazarick seems to move into an alternate reality. All the NPC now have awareness of their own, and he is stuck in his avatar. Thus begins his journey to find out what has happened and if there is anyone else who faced the same thing.

The first season aired in 2015, with two compilation films in 2017, summarising the first season. In Early 2018, the second season aired, with the third season in Mid-2018. All three seasons have 13 episodes each, with every season covering three light novels.
Along with this, a light-hearted crossover anime Isekai Quartet began airing in 2019. The series shows chibi versions of characters from Overlord, KonoSuba, Re:Zero Starting Life In Another World, and Saga of Tanya the Evil. Two seasons have been out, with a third season officially announced.

In 2019, at AnimagiC, Kugane Maruyama, so-bin, and anime scriptwriter Yukie Sugawara discussed Overlord Season 4. Sugawara told that it was very likely for a fourth season to happen. Some unverified reports say that the development has already begun but is delayed because of the pandemic.
