Demon slayer is an ani-manga series that can possibly be considered as if not the biggest, at least one of the biggest IPs out there. According to Wikipedia, Kyouharu Gotoge’s manga is the 9th highest selling manga of all time with 150 million copies in circulation as of February 2021.
The Demon Slayer: Mugen Train movie is the highest-grossing anime film of all time, so it is no wonder that the franchise gets talked about a lot. In this article, we will be talking about the red light district arc and any news on a new season.

Demon Slayer Red Light District Arc Review
After watching the Mugen Train movie, almost everyone was left distraught with the death of the fire pillar Kyojurou Rengoku. When the second season began, it was basically just a recap for the first 7 episodes with a few new scenes. What i actually awaited was the red light district arc and Ufotable new exactly what they needed to do to get the attention of their fans.
When I say that the visuals of the new arc were stunning, it should be taken with a grain of salt. Because the animation was beyond stunning, the fight scenes and the background CGI, all of it was nothing short of exquisite.
Apart from that, if I were to look at the story independently, the red light district arc definitely had the best plot progression and twist when compared to the other 2 arcs. From the murderous Oiran to the appearance of Gyutarou, almost each and every episode had its share of suspense and twists.
Obviously, the fight scenes that featured new techniques from Zenitsu and Nezuko were a sight to behold. The breathtaking animation was definitely the best point of the new season. Although the last episode disappointed me personally due to a lack of information on the future, I still feel that overall it was a season that would only further popularize the franchise.
Demon Slayer New Arc Announcement
On February 13, a new arc was announced on the twitter handle of Demon Slayer. The new arc will focus on the Mist pillar, Muichiro Tokito, and the Love pillar, Matsuri Kanroji. I’m sure the manga readers are already aware of what lies ahead. However, the anime watchers will be keenly excited about the next installment featuring the kind and resolute Tanjiro Kamado and his demon sister Nezuko.
