After the meeting with the top health officials and other leaders Scholz told the reporters, “After these long two years, we deserve that things somehow improve again and it looks a bit like that’s exactly what we have in front of us.”

Then in a tweet, Scholz said that the cases are fluctuating and are also not increasing in a rapid way. He tweeted, “We can now withdraw the restrictions step by step, but we should continue to be careful.”

On Wednesday, Germany reported 219,972 new daily coronavirus cases, and it is down 6% in comparison with the same day the previous week. The seven-day infection occurrence per 100,000 people also dropped below to 1,401 from 1,438 on Tuesday.

In a three-stage idea, the government accepted the decision of lifting the restrictions on the personal internal conference for those vaccinated or who got well from the coronavirus within a few days.

According to a draft, the Unvaccinated Germans will be allowed into the hotels with a negative test report starting from March 4.

All important restrictions, including the demand to work from home, will end on March 20, but a demand to maintain distance and to wear masks inside and on public transport will remain active after March 19 also.
