The story revolves around a young boy named Shiki, who was born on a planet that was surrounded by robots and other electrical objects. When Rebecca and Happy arrive in the life of Shiki, everything changes around them.
In the start, Rebecca didn’t like Shiki and always thought of him as a person who is trying to be her friend by force, but when she saw that Shiki influenced the robots, she thought to consider him a friend.
There was a spread of some diseases on the planet, which led to robots going crazy. They started threatening Rebecca but Shiki protected her by fighting the robots using his Esther gear.
The three decided to leave the planet and go travel around the universe in search of a creature named Mother. Shiki said that he had already seen the mother, but no one believed him and they continued to travel on the spaceship.
