Hellbound is a new Netflix masterpiece that is about to premiere on November 19, 2021. Fans are bound to love this epic fantasy series.
The story is written by Choi Kyu-sok. The director of this show added to the anticipation of the series. It’s Yeon Sang-Ho who has also directed the famous Korean blockbuster movie, ‘Train To Busan’. It is a Supernatural drama where creatures from hell wreak chaos on earth.
Plot of Hellbound
The story takes place in a period where Supernatural creatures from hell walk upon our planet. Their origin remains a mystery to humans. Many people are dragged to hell suddenly and their disappearances are unexpected.
People struggle and live in fear, but Jung Jin-Soo creates a new religion. When people’s heads are filled with questions, Jin Soon manipulates them with his thoughts. That’s how a new religion called Saejinrihwe meaning ‘New Truth Society’ emerges with him as the head. The followers of his cult are known as Hwasalchok or Arrowheads.
In his cult, He preaches his beliefs about the happenings of the world and he reveals that it must be the will of God. Their teachings are questionable. The cult even goes to the extent of offering human sacrifices.
Meanwhile, Min Hye Jin who’s a lawyer opposes the cult and their inhumane practices. Bae Young Jae is a broadcasting station’s PD and he’s also interested to reveal the secrets of the cult. Detective Jin Kyung Hoon focuses on solving the mystery around these creatures. The series is an emotional rollercoaster with suspense and horror embedded till the end.
