Kingdom Chapter 696: Release Date and Read Manga Online

Kingdom Chapter 696 is to be released on 24 October, Sunday 2021. Fans are excited and eagerly waiting for its release.

The kingdom is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara. Kingdom is published by Shueisha. The Manga has been published in Shueisha’s seining manga magazine Weekly Young Jump since 2006 and collected into 62 tankobon volumes as of July 2021. Kingdom has its anime television series adaptation, directed by Jun Kamiya, Akira Iwanaga, and Kenichi Imaizumi. The series is written by Naruhisa Arakawa.

A live-action film for Kingdom was released in April 2019. The anime has been licensed for English-language release by Funimation.

Plot of Kingdom

Xin and Piao are war orphans working as servants in a poor village in the kingdom of Qin. They were born during the Warring State period of ancient China. They had a dream- to become the “Great Generals of the Heavens”. One day, Piao was taken to the palace for an unknown reason by a minister and Xin was left behind. After a few months, Piao returns to the village from the border of death, asking Xin to accompany him to another village.

There Xin meets a boy who is identical to Piao named Ying Zheng, who is the current king of Qin. Xin then understands that Piao was the double figure of Ying Zheng and wounded himself in a fight for the throne. At first, Xin was angry at Ying Zheng as he was the reason for Piao’s Death, Xin decides to take advantage of the opportunity and takes charge of his younger brother Cheng Jiao and claiming the throne in return. Successful Xin then starts his military life as a Qin soldier. He soon starts perusing his goal of becoming the “Greatest General in the World”.
