Gosho Aoyama created the Detective Conan manga series, which he wrote and drew. Since January 1994, it has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday, and its chapters have been compiled in 100 tankobon volumes as of October 2021. The English language versions from Funimation and Viz were changed to Case Closed due to rights issues with the name Detective Conan.

The plot follows Shinichi Kudo, a high school investigator who transforms into a child while researching a strange organization and solves a variety of crimes by impersonating his childhood best friend’s father and other characters.

Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation and TMS Entertainment adapted the manga into an anime television series, which aired in January 1996. Animated feature films, original video animations, video games, audio disc releases, and live-action episodes have all emerged from the anime.

The series is about, Jimmy Kudo who is a high school investigator who occasionally collaborates with law enforcement to solve problems. During an inquiry, he is attacked by members of the Black Organization, a criminal gang. They compel him to take an experimental poison, which turns him into a kid instead of killing him.

Also, we see in the series that, Kudo lives with his childhood friend Rachel Moore and her father Richard, a private detective, under the pseudonym Conan Edogawa and keeps his actual identity hidden. He goes along on Richard’s investigations throughout the series, but when he can’t solve one, he utilizes his neighbor Dr. Agasa’s device to put Richard to sleep and imitate his voice with a voice changer.

He also enrolls at a nearby primary school, where he meets a group of students who form a Junior Detective club. While investigating the Black Organization, he meets several people, including his professor buddy Dr. Agasa, Ran’s friend Serena Sebastian, fellow adolescent investigator Harley Hartwell, several police detectives from various locations, and a phantom thief known as the Kaito Kid.
