About Monster 8

Strange monsters known as Kaiju are appearing all around Japan and attacking the people. The Japan Defense Force fights with monsters to save common people. When Kafka Hibino and his childhood friend Mina Ashiro were very young, their hometown was destroyed by monsters. They vowed to join the defense force.

Mina has become a successful commander of the third unit of the Japan Defense Force. After failing the entrance exam several times, Kafka ends up being a sweeper at Monster Sweping Inc. His job is to dispose of the dead bodies of monsters. One day a small monster enters his body through his mouth and he gains the ability to transform himself into a humanoid monster.

Now, Kafka is one of the most powerful humanoid monsters. He can overpower other monsters easily. A sudden rule change allows him to join the Japan Defense Force. Finally, he can chase his childhood dream. His code name is Monster #8. His fight beings, not just with monsters but also with himself. He is afraid of losing control of his powers and hurting his friends.
