Plot
Black clover revolves around a protagonist Asta who is a young orphan, abandoned and raised in a world full of magic in the outskirts of Clover Kingdom alongside another orphan named Yuno. Furthermore, the presence of outstanding magical abilities amongst every soul except Asta leads to a prioritization of developing his physical strength abilities to be an equivalent of others.
To become a Wizard King, both Asta and Yuno develop a friendly rivalry against each other. Moreover, both the characters receive their respective magical grimoires at their coming-of-age ceremony. Ashta obtains a five-leaf grimoire, which is revealed to be quite harmful and dangerous as it consists of a devil whereas Yuno receives a four-leaf grimoire. The storyline expands after they join the squad of Magic Knight.
