Kaiju No. 8, also known as Monster 8 in English, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and application since July 2020.
Shueisha has collected its chapters into individual tankobon volumes. The series has been licensed in English, by Viz Media in North America.

Godzilla-like monsters called “Kaiju” have been appearing around Japan for many years. To fight these beasts, a military unit known as Defence Corps risks their lives to protect civilians. The story follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man, is a Defence Force member and a former worker for the Professional Kaiju Cleaning Company, Monster Sweeper.
He is unsatisfied with his job as a sweeper. When a Kaiju managed to enter his body, he obtained the ability to turn himself into a humanoid Kaiju. He gains superhuman strength and becomes the first monster to escape the Defense Force.
In the current Chapter, we are going to see how Kafka Hibino and Kikoru Shinomiya handle the Kaiju in front of them. Shinomiya manages to get a hit on the enemy and leaves it to Kafka to get the final blow.
