The series, however, is directed by Koji Masunari and Katsuya Asano. The story revolves around Yatora Yaguchi who is a perfect example of the type of student that every parents wishes an student to be. He tries his best to get acquainted with his friends as well as the world. But, he always finds himself looking for something more that would fill the gap inside him. He believes he lacks passion and purpose in life and everything he has done so far is all that people consider as “normal” and not “exceptional”.

One day, he finds himself captivated by a painting he saw in his High School’s art room and decides that he himself should try to paint. He finds that painting for a while has able to fill the void inside him. He then decides to join the arts club and work on his skills. He was clear that he wanted to pursue arts as his career and prepared himself to apply in Tokyo University of the Arts but he was afraid whether his parents will support his decision or not.
