About Kengan Omega
Kengan Omega is a Japanese manga series written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. It is a sequel to Kengan Ashura. The first 12-episode part premiered in July 2019 on Netflix. The second part premiered in October 2019.
Since the Edo period of Japan, Gladiator arenas have existed in various forms around the world. The rich businessman and merchants place bet and hire gladiators to fight for them in combat matches called Kengan. The fighters risk their lives to prove themselves to the world.
In this story, Yamashita Kazuo, an average Japanese employee for Nogi Group witnesses a street fight in an alley. One of the fighters being Tokita “Ashura” Ohma, with an extraordinary ability to crush his enemies. Kazuo is assigned the job of managing Ohma who joins these arenas only to destroy his opponents. Ohma gets invited to Kengan Annihilation Tournament and continues his fights while Kazuo struggles in managing his affairs. It remains to be seen what twists and turns take place as the story progresses.
