The series debuted on September 24, 2010. CBS renewed the series for a twelfth season which is scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2021.

About Blue Bloods
The series explores the Reagan family, who has a history of work in law enforcement. Honor and justice are in their blood. Reagans are an Irish-American Catholic family. Each member of the family works in a different sector of law enforcement. The series explores both their personal and professional lives.
Frank Reagan is a Police Commissioner. His father, Henry Reagan was an NYPD beat cop who rose through ranks to become Police Commissioner. Frank’s oldest son Danny is an NYPD detective. His youngest son Jamie is an NYPD surgeon. Frank’s daughter Erin is an assistant district attorney. His second son Joe was murdered.
Both Henry and Frank’s respective wives, Betty and Mary are no longer alive. Erin is divorced and has one daughter. Danny is a widower whose wife had died in a helicopter crash. In the Season 9 finale, Jammie married his partner Eddie. The season 10 finale revealed Joe Hill, a young detective is Joe Reagan’s son. Neither her nor his family knew it.
Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 1 Release Date
It is about to air on October 1, 2021. The first episode of the twelfth season is named “Hate is Hate”. In the episode, Danny is trying to solve a murder case of a young boy. He consults a psychic. Frank argues with the mayor in order to protect the city from a high-profile shooting. Erin investigates an old case.
