NCIS follows a fictional team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response Team (MCRT) special agents. The story takes place in Washington, D.C. Supervisory Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs leads this team. He is a Marine vet and seasoned Investigator. The series also focuses on the close friendships that Chrissy has with the Major Response Team.
As per usual, NCIS Season 18 ended on a cliffhanger. And episode 1 has done some justice to all our doubts. Gibbs makes out of the lake with a massive injury. He is nursed by Thelma and her husband. After being cared for properly Gibbs calls Mcgee. Gibbs run into Special Agent Jessica Knight, McGee, and Torres in a desolate ranger station on the north shore.
The location is soon flooded by a trio of gang members. However, after a violent show of pistols, they finally surrender. As the team continues to look into the boat explosion, they find evidence that leads them to Marcie. Marcie is suspiciously assumed to have had a thing with Gibbs.

In this episode, Gibbs and the gang investigate the case of the serial killer. The NCIS team is complete now. Their former boss is back. However, things are set to turn awry once they discover that there is someone else trying to enter the picture. Moreover, that person might be tracking the case as well.
