Destination Fear is an American paranormal television series that premiered on the Travel Channel in the United States on October 26, 2019. The series was renewed for a second season, which will premiere on Travel Channel on April 29, 2020, premiere on October 24, 2020. The cast officially announced a third season on February 18, 2021, which will premiere on Travel Channel and Discovery+ on July 24, 2021.

The Plot of the Show
Dakota Laden, a paranormal investigator and documentary filmmaker, and his team of paranormal enthusiasts, including his sister, Chelsea Laden, and friends Tanner Wiseman and Alex Schroeder, appear on the show. The team travels across the United States in an RV, stopping at a number of allegedly haunted and paranormal hotspots. The cast takes a fresh look at the paranormal, with participants sleeping alone overnight at each haunted location and documenting their experiences. The show aims to depict real-life events as well as the psychological effects that these paranormal hauntings have on each member of the team.

Dakota and Alex attempted to explore Iowa’s menacing Edinburgh Manor six years ago, where residents are said to have slit their own throats to escape the misery. They were chased away by something in the basement because they didn’t have a plan. They’ve returned with the entire team, armed with a new perspective on the paranormal. However, they are once again confronted with something in the basement.

Dakota, in an unprecedented move, transports the team to not one, but two locations at the same time. When combined, it will provide an examination of one of the most heinous events in American history. A family was brutally murdered in the now-famous Villisca Axe Murder House, and many believe that the house is haunted by a dark and nefarious entity. Dakota, however, is intrigued by the seemingly paranormal connection to a hotel 40 miles away, and he and the team are the first to investigate it.
