What Has Happened
Riko, an orphaned girl lives in the town of Orth in the Belchero orphanage. The town surrounds a strange, giant hole descending deep into the earth, which is known as the Abyss.
The Abyss harbors artifacts and remnants of civilizations long gone and is, therefore, a popular hunting spot for a gang called the Cave Raiders, who go deep into the pits to make these ornaments.
“The Curse of the Abyss” gets a hold on some people who enter the cave, therefore, making it dangerous for civilians to wish. The deeper you go down into the cave, the more hold it takes upon you. Only a few returns to tell the tale. White Whistles are some of these clever and renowned cave raiders, who are given this title upon their bravery.
One of these White Whistles is Riko’s mother, Lyza who has been pronounced dead after her last descent into the cave because she never returned. Riko’s goal in her life is to follow her mother and become a white whistle or maybe find either her or the reason for her disappearance.
While discovering the cave, one day she find a human boy like robot in the second layer and names it Reg. She brings him home with her and lets him in with her friends. After a while, several findings are made from the depths of the Abyss, including Lyza’s White Whistle and pages of discoveries and observations she had made.
It also included an implicit message for Riko, stating she is waiting at the bottom of the Abyss. On receiving the message, Riko sets out to look for her mother with Reg without telling anyone into the deep Abyss.
