South Korean web novel solo leveling is written by Chugong was initially serialized by Kakao’s digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage on July 25th, 2016. Later the D&C Media used to publish the novel under its Papyrus label ever since 4th November 2016. Solo Leveling is licensed by Webnovel for English. Which is titled Only I Level Up.
The manga has been adapted into a webtoon which was released on March 4 2018 in the KakaoPage. The Webtoon was illustrated by Jang Sung-rak. Jang Sung-rak is the CEO of Redice studio. The first season of the Webtoon ended on 19 March 2020. The Webtoon was renewed for a second season in August 2020.

The story is based on the world where gates connecting the human world to the world of monsters appear. To protect themselves from monsters, humans acquire supernatural power. One fine day a group of hunters gets trapped in an extremely difficult situation. Sung Jin-Woo who is the weakest hunter among them is also a part of this group.
Most of them lose their life but Sung Jin-Woo manages to complete all his trials and find himself in a hospital reawaken. He also acquired some superpower through which he can see everything around him. Later he vows to solve the mystery of the world of monsters.
