Best Horror Movies to Watch in 2021: List of Best Horror Movies

Movies are always subjective. You can agree with this list or not, it’s your choice. This list has been curated with the help of Rotten Tomatoes. Making Horror movies is a difficult thing. Only a few directors have really accomplished it. In a horror movie, everything should be on the point, whether it’s acting, or music, or direction even lighting can affect the mood of a horror movie. You can go through the list and watch the movie you have not watched yet.

IT:

The first part of IT which was released in 2017 was both critically and commercially hit. It was loved by the critics as it was one of the few scary movies which was a good movie to watch too. I remembered watching this movie in the theatre and I couldn’t sleep for a week. The story is about a supernatural being that can take the form of anything children fears and most and then feed on it.

INSIDIOUS:

Before James Wan was the most profitable director in Hollywood, he made small budgets movies. His movie Saw was a huge success and that’s what he wanted to do with Insidious and he was successful with it. The movie is about a boy who is in a coma and now using metaphysics to convey. The climax of this movie is still considered to be the best among all the horror movies.

Melissa (Spencer Locke) could reeaaally use that key right about now, in Insidious: The Last Key.

SINISTER:

In the world of horror movies, movies that were made on a small budget usually are scarier than big-budget movies. Sinister was released in 2012 and the writer was inspired by The Ring. It’s about a family and how they encountered supernatural activities when they move to a new house.

It is more of a Psychological horror than practical horror but will scare the shit out of you. This movie was released in 1980 and was directed by Stanley Kubrick who adapted Steven King’s novel of the same name. This movie revolves around a man who has been made in charge of a hotel.
