Bridgerton has already begun filming for Season 2 after the show’s first season released in December 2020. The show Bridgerton Starts Filming For Season 2 was announced to be renewed by Netflix for not just the second season in January but also for the third and fourth season in April. It was adapted from the books by Julia Quinn.
About Season 2:
Bridgerton is a romantic periodic drama and follows a family of the same name who is powerful. The story revolves around the family and their romantic interests during the regency period. The show is told from the perspective of a columnist, Julia Andrews who has a role in the series.
As it is announced Rege Jean Page would not be seen again and reprising his role for the upcoming season, the upcoming season plans to center around the oldest brother, Anthony, and his romantic interest Kate. The story would be the plot of the 2nd book of the book series.
It would introduce the Sex Education star Simone Ashley who would play Kate Sharma and other newcomers. Charithra Chandran will play the role of Kate’s sister, Edwina. The book originally had a different last name for Kate but the show changed it for ethnic reasons as she is to be shown of Indian lineage.
Daphne would be seen again reprising her role. Even though Season One Finale gave a happy ending, there are still some questions that need to be answered.
The Production:
The show is officially in production and some photos from the set have been released. The photos show Anthony and Kate and other characters from the show attending supposedly a Horse Race.
The official release date has not yet been announced. The next seasons of the show may follow other siblings and their love life and romantic interests. The initial season was a great hit with many positive reviews and more than 80 million viewership. The show is back to production with the periodic costumes and sets. We will be seeing some new characters as well.
The Book series by Julia Quinn has a total of 8 books each book following a sibling and the show has been already renewed till season 4. Therefore more can be expected.
