Apple TV+ original For All Mankind series is going to wrap up its 2nd season this month and fans are going crazy over season 3. The sci-fi drama series is been popular among people for its over-the-top cult storytelling. Here are the updates of For All Mankind season 3.
Season 3 Release Date
For All Mankind has 2 seasons to date. Season 1 premiered in November 2019. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic season, 2 shooting was delayed and premiered on February 2021. As for the 3rd season, the makers and Apple renewed the show for another shot before even the second one premiered. For All Mankind season, 3 is already on production now. The estimated release dates are between March 2022 to July 2022.
Show-starrer Joel Kinnaman confirmed that they had finished shooting the 1st episode. In an interview with Decider, Kinnaman told: “It’s a bit of a bitch with the makeup and it’s a little earlier morning with wearing prosthetics and all that stuff.” He also added: “But I have to say that when the age becomes more and more a factor, it becomes a more intriguing aspect of playing the character.” Other stars, Shantel VanSanten, Krys Marshall, Jodi Balfour, and Wrenn Schmidt are confirmed to return in the new season.
Season 3 Plot
For All Kind is a space drama, created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi. The story focuses on an alternative reality where the Soviet Union is the first to land women on Moon. This situation brought a cold war between the Soviet Union and the USA. The completion between the 2 countries follows after NASA built a base named Jamestown on the moon. In the second season, the plot is set in 1983, the Cold War has been worsening. Soviet Union attacks NASA on Moon. 2 of the spacemen Tracy and Gordo have sacrificed their lives in a nuclear meltdown.
The 3rd season will possibly comprise the storyline of the Mars mission by NASA. The characters such as Molly Cobb’s struggle on her poor eyesight, also Ellen’s journey after successfully handling Apollo-Soyuz’s mission will also be shown on the 3rd season. The all-over cold war between the countries will run for sure in the 3rd season too.
