The former UFC star and WWE wrestler, Ronda Rousey is pregnant with her first baby. Her husband, Travis Browne, a 38-year-old fellow MMA fighter, has two children Kaleo and Keawe, with his previous wife. But, they revealed this happy news in a Youtube video as a couple’s first child on Wednesday, April 21. As a result, Ronda revealed that she is 4 months pregnant.
About the video
The description of the video reads: “The question that has been asked for many moons has an answer: is Ronda Rousey pregnant? Well, Travis Browne and Ronda have an announcement to make… Because they just made a baby.”
“Pow, four months pregnant !” Ronda said in the clip, removing a pillow from the stomach revealing the baby bump. ” I’ve been pregnant since January. So, four months. Whoo, baby bump! I can’t hide it anymore. So, it’s time to show it off. And just wanted to share with you guys a little bit of the journey we’ve been on. And there’s definitely much more to the story that we’ll be telling later.”
Some footage from her ultrasound was also shown in the video. Though they have not revealed the sex of the baby, it seems they can reveal it at some point. However, she has announced her due date.
At the end of the video, Ronda says, “Thank you, everybody, for all the well wishes and all the positivity to get us to this point. We’re really excited for you all to meet [the baby] just like we are. … Baddest baby on the planet. Coming to you soon, September 22!”
Ronda’s desire to start a family
Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne got married in Hawaii in August 2017. In 2019, Ronda revealed her desire to start a family with her spouse. It started a rumor about her being pregnant in January 2019.” I honestly don’t know why [anyone] feels [they’re] an authority to speak on plans for my uterus. It’s my vagina, my life, keep the speculations to yourself. Leave me and my reproductive organs alone,” she told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne at the time.
During that time, Rousey said to E! News, “We’re just putting it out in the universe and letting nature take its course and not trying to rush it or put any pressure on ourselves. Just kind of enjoy our time as a family together. Enjoying every day and accepting it whenever it happens.”
She also said,” You know, we’re not taking ovulation tests or anything like that. But, I’m also not on the road 200 days a year and taking power bombs every night. So, I’m sure that helps.”
