Apple unveiled a brand-new iMac with a thinner design, a variety of colors, an M1 chip, and new features. The new iMac comes in 7 different bright colors such as green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver.
Thinner iMac with M1 Chip: What’s New
Size: It is thinner in size, in comparison to the earlier generation, enabled by the M1 chip technology. With this slimmer size and lesser weight, it is more portable and easier to handle for the users.
Display and Accessories: The new technology comes with a 24 inch 4.5K Retina Display which is mechanized to adapt the color temperature for the comfort of the user. Furthermore with 11.3 million pixels, 500 nits of brightness it keeps adding to a better experience. It also comes with an anti-reflective coating for readability. It is available with Color-matched accessories of Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad.
Efficiency: With the new M1 chip it has faster and better performance-enhancing your day-to-day tasks. The base model is available with 8 GB Ram and 256 GB SSD. With thousands of apps available it allows the customer to use multiple apps at the same time without any disturbance. Additional features include 8 core powerful CPU functioning in low power silicon, 16 core Apple Neural Engine, and unified memory architecture.
Touch ID and Connectivity: In the new iMac Touch ID is made available with an encrypted channel by Secure Enclave working with the wireless ID on the Keyboard. It protects the fingerprint with this latest technology being the first Touch ID available for iMac. Adding to the already existing connectivity and transfer features, it introduced 2 new USB-C ports and a 1Gbps Ethernet port in the power adapter.
Additional features: It has a 1080p camera for higher quality video calls or meetings with improved video quality, exposure balance, and noise reduction. Adding to this, it has a studio-quality three-microphone array for a clearer and enhanced call experience to go with the camera. Giving the finest technology of the sound system, it has a 6 speaker sound system for a theatre-like feel with clear and strong audio. The latest iMac will be available for order to the customer from April 30 on the apple website and stores. The Base Model with green, pink, blue, and silver available color starts at $1299 while the higher model with all the available colors and features starts at $1499.
