We all are very familiar with Mark Ruffalo who has played the Hulk in the Avengers movies in the marvel cinematic universe. And a bit older generations remember him as Mattie from 13 going on in 30. He is one of the most talented yet very humble guys of Hollywood. He lives a bit of private life. Lets get to know 5 Unknown facts about his wife, Sunrise Coigney.
1. Early life
Sunrise Coigney was born on September 17, 1972, in San Francisco, California. Her father’s mane is to Joel Coigney. She is also sometimes called by the nickname Sunny. Nothing much else is known about her early life.
2. She was an actress
Before meeting Ruffalo, she was already well settled in life and was also a good actress. But she had made her first debut after getting married to him. She played a few small roles in the early 2000s, in TV shows like In the Cut and Campfire Stories. Sunrise also played the character of as Brenda Ravelle in Line of Fire—a series that ran from 2003 until 2005. After that, she mostly stayed at home to look after and family, and her acting period came to a stop.
3. She is an entrepreneur
Coigney opened a summer boutique called Sunny’s Callicoon Pop in 2017. The shop has a huge collection of artisan items that sunrise had personally collected over the years. She now runs the store online and has since closed the physical store.
She previously also owned a store called Caviar and Kind in Los Angeles almost over a decade ago. Sunrise says that she finds joy in the retail business.
4. Their love story
Coigney and Mark first met in 1998, as Mark describes literally by chance on the street. He was in his early 30’s at that time and was still struggling as an actor. It was at this time Sunny had supported him morally and never gave up on him. Mark still states that he might not have been able to come up if not for her support.
The couple got married in the year 2000. But this was after his second proposal to her. She had earlier turned him down.
5. Family life and kids
She stopped her acting career to look after her kids and stayed as a homemaker. She says that one can have a second chance in acting but cannot have a second chance at parenting. For her, nothing is more important than her family. Mark and sunrise have three kids together named Keen Ruffalo, Bella Noche, and Odette Ruffalo. We sometimes get to see them during his movie launch events.
