Biden is WITHDRAWING American Troops from Afghanistan could Cause Terrorist Uprising

It’s to end America’s longest war. It is time for American troops to come home,” said President Joe Biden while withdrawing U.S. army troops from Afghanistan. The withdrawal of the army ends America’s longest war. The American force Biden is trying to pull out is 2500 by September 11 from Afghanistan. This year will mark the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and Biden is planning to retreat the force before it.

The problems which might arise after the withdrawal.

The Central Intelligence agency’s Director, William Burns acknowledged that the presence of the American military in Afghanistan has benefited America completely. It has helped America’s ability to contain terrorist threats. Adding to this he states that with the troops withdrawing, “the U.S. government’s ability to collect and act on threats will diminish.” Thus, if there is a new terrorist attack initiated in Afghanistan it won’t be immediately tracked down by the American army and can lead to riots.

One of the senior administration officials said that the withdrawal of troops in September is a deadline and it won’t be affected by security conditions in Afghanistan. The longest war fought to date in Afghanistan since 9/11 has completely cripple al-Qaida which led to the death of Osama Bin Laden.

The fact which can’t be denied is that the American Withdrawal risks many gains made in democracy in Afghanistan, it risks women’s rights and governance. Taliban would provide Al Qaida’s havens and remain strong controlling large parts of the country.

The reason behind Biden’s decision.

President Joe Biden claims that he is the fourth American President to preside over the longest war and the troops in Afghanistan. The military action was announced by President George Bush after which Two Republicans and two Democrats have already presided. Biden suggests that he won’t pass this on to a fifth President. Though he affirms that “U.S.  mission would be solely be dedicated to, providing assistance to Afghanistan and supporting diplomacy”.

The President said that the objective of the military action is achieved a decade ago when, Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al- Qaida was killed. As the objective is fulfilled the reasons behind the American army remaining in Afghanistan is unclear because it is quite visible that the terrorist threat has dispersed says, Biden.  He adds that “We cannot continue the cycle of extending or expanding our military presence in Afghanistan, hoping to create ideal conditions for the withdrawal and expecting a different result.”

It’s time to withdraw because the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria have cost the U.S taxpayers almost $1.57 trillion since 11th September 2001.  Not only that more than 2000 U.S service member have lost their lives due to this.
