As we all know that Donald Trump’s Twitter handle was banned along with the suspension of their Facebook account and YouTube channel four months ago in January. Tech giants had no option left rather then restricting former presidents from the social media platforms. After his post escalated the Capitol hill riots in America. Facebook banned the account with no restorations plans for the future.
Donald Trump vs Facebook When The Battle Will Come To An End.
Thought recently the oversight board of Facebook declared that it lifted the ban it it now ready to welcome the former President. But before Facebook’s announcement Donald Trump announced his own social media platform slamming Facebook and Google. After lifting the ban CEO of Facebook expressed his concern over the matter saying –
“We believe the risk of allowing the President to continue to use service during this period are simply too great. Therefore, we are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook add Instagram accounts indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until peaceful transitions of power is complete.”
Talking about Donald Trump’s own website which is is believed to publish all the content from the desk will let him post and express himself. It will also let the users like and share the post over social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Kara Swisher a technology columnist working for the New York Times told the BBC Radio 4’s program
“I was like 2002 is calling it wants its blog back…I don’t know what the overall plan is because he does have some very sharp digital advisers. It is just the beginning of his attempts to try to re-establish a louder ability to participate in digital media. ”
In a statement that came from Jason Miller Donald Trump’s senior adviser which says –
“This new platform is going to be big,”
He gave very little information regarding Trump’s new social media platform then continued his statement saying
“We’ll have additional information coming on that front in a very near future, free speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the radical left lunatics are afraid of the truth. The people of our country will not stand for it! These corrupt social media companies must pay a political price, and must never again be allowed to destroy and decimate our electoral process.”
Twitter and YouTube also gave their opinion on the matter saying –
“They will reactivate Mr. Trump’s account when the threat of “real-world violence” reduces.” – the statement came from the YouTube
Twitter spokesperson spoke to BBC saying ” Generally, sharing content from the website referenced is permitted as long as the material does not otherwise violate the Twitter Rules.”
