Coronavirus is rapidly increasing in India and breaking all the records. With the government appealing to the people of the nation to get vaccinated similarly, the public appealing the government to provide more medical resources but in both cases these two parties can not force or what if even public forces the government for the same, will they care?
Don’t want to sound negative but from the recent calculation there are 19,164,969 Corona cases right now in India and 211,853 is the number of deaths that happened due to the virus, at least this is what the number provided by the officials regarding the cases and deaths but who knows the exact number of the same? We hope the situation gets better as soon as possible. Let’s read policies regarding vaccination.
Why was it important to have a privacy policy regarding Corona Virus Vaccine.
India has managed to produce two Corona Virus Vaccines of their own but still, only 10% of the total population of the country got their first dose of vaccination whereas only 1.2% of the total population got fully vaccinated. If we talk about the policy. India’s Government has failed to secure the privacy of its citizens.
For example, the Arogya Setu app allegedly breached the privacy of the users by sharing the information and data with IIT Madras for the research. Soon after being pressurized by the court, the app did some changes in its privacy policies. Similarly, it was important to know and imply a privacy policy regarding Vaccination.
What does the Privacy Policy state in the case of Vaccination?
As per the policy, the house or the government can not force the people of India to get vaccinated against their will. This policy was highlighted after the rumor or the news were spread during the testing or at the early stage of the vaccination process that people were enrolled for taking the vaccination without even giving them a consent form. They were not told about the side effects of the same before getting vaccinated.
After this, a bill was passed which made ensured that it is important to have the consent of the patient or the person before giving her or his vaccination. It also stated that they should be informed about the side effects of the same. As a woke citizen it is also our duty to be fully educated about the vaccination. Let’s hope, people get vaccinated as soon as possible and the situation gets in control.
