Biden Cancels Military-Funded Border Wall Projects

“Today, the Department of Defense will begin canceling all wall projects using the diverted funds, and will take steps to return remaining unobligated military construction funds to their appropriated purpose as permitted by law.” a Biden administration official said on April 30, 2021, Friday.

Joe Biden has canceled the former President’s signature border wall projects. The payment for this project is diverted from Defense Department accounts and another development fund.

Trump diverted about $ 10 billion from other official accounts to fund this wall project. That is apparently considered as not a wise and a good plan for the country’s betterment. However, it is unclear what will be the next step towards this incomplete project and the leftover fund.

Besides this, it has also been speculated that the wall project hampered the environment So, the Homeland Security Department is directed to repair the damages like flood barriers and soil erosions in Texas and San Diego.
