OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, Hotstar, every one of them is in the race of making the best content. They want people to subscribe to their streaming platform because of well, we can say capitalism and the demand of producing art. And filmmaking or creating cinema is the only art that requires money. And also we are stepping on the edge of the enlightenment era of cinema where the audience needs to watch valuable cinema. Whether on the big screen or at home on TV.
Streaming platforms have also understood the market of the Indian film industry. It’s a big market and they are all ready to invest in it wholeheartedly. And in this run, Amazon is quite in lead. Amazon has given us many good Indian series like Patal Lok, Mirzapur, Breath, Family man, and the audience loved the series. Netflix also released sacred games and Delhi crime as their highest-rated series in India. And all the other platforms are also investing in it. Recently Hotstar invested in Anand Gandhi’s Ok Computer which received a mixed reaction.
When Did it All Start:
All the big stars have also started to come on streaming services. Well, it was done way back by Anil Kapoor in Sony’s 24. It was a crime thriller that everyone loved. Even after that, there was little to no recognition of the web series in India. But as the actors started to collaborate with big streaming platforms it became a new thing. Sacred games played the most crucial part it. With names like Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddique, Anurag Kashyap, and many more, the series became one of the highest-rated shows and still is.

RUDRA – THE EDGE OF DARKNESS:
Ajay Devgn also wants to be a part of this big change. So for the first time, he is coming on a streaming platform with a series named, Rudra-The Edge of Darkness. The series is from the genre of crime thriller and is inspired by the original series, Luther which had Idris Elba. This was announced by both Ajay Devgn and Disney Hotstar VIP. on their Twitter accounts.
