Sherlock Holmes 3 is all set to start filming. Our favorite duo Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are ready to solve another crime mystery. Originally the production was to start in early December 2020 but due to the widespread of the corona, it got delayed. The screenplay is written by Chris Brancato.

But after talking to the film’s director, Dexter Fletcher, looks like the team is back on schedule again with a motive to release it by the end of this year; 2021. When asked about Sherlock Holmes 3’s release date Dexter answered, “That’s sort of sitting on the back burner at the minute until it gets to be clear where the world is at and what’s aiming to happen.”

Looks like Robert is rooting for his longtime close friend Johnny to become a part of the Sherlock Holmes 3. RDJ’s spouse Susan Downey has been a producer for the Sherlock Holmes franchise and the couple’s Team Downey company will probably be intensely included within the third film, as well, which would grant them a bounty of input when it comes to casting.

In realityagreeing to “a senior source at Warner Bros., Bob needs Johnny on board, come hell or high water.” Robert feels that after the whole Amber and Johnny’s divorce drama, this movie might give him a boost in the industry and take away all his stress.

If Johnny Depp comes on board it is rumored that he might play the antagonist of the story. But nothing has been made official yet. Robert even made a statement for Depp playing the role of villain saying, “There is no one I admire more.”
